What Are We?

The difficulty with our conventional terms for party or political orientation is that they are loaded with epithets.  How do we avoid this by saying a minimum what we are for and against as our fundamental effort is to establish a reform mechanism that is separate from party.  Let us then say that -- We are basically where the majority of Americans are.  We are Centrists.

We are for:

  - establishing a national government  reform effort that will use a yearly national issue convention attended by a representative national jury of  sortition selected citizens to address a limited number of the most important issues that face our country.

  - Considering the issue of "corruption of the functioning body of Congress" and deciding on one  of several potential answers to be presented to the states as Constitutional amendments below that would correct this failure of our system.

  1.  Term limits on members of Congress
  2.  Establishment of a investigative body separate from the other branches of government to investigate and try by jury ethical lapses and fraud in Congress and by Congressional members
  3. Other
-Each year one or more major problems should be considered in this manner with a very few  requiring Constitutional Amendments
