The Important Questions in Deciding Which Issues To Address

“Questions stated are not necessarily the right question but merely a prick to incite you to
focus on the real issue and question” Publius

Prioritization is Crucial. How Do We Do It?

“Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers” Voltaire

The number of poblems confronting our nation is limitless.  As a world leader in many fora we are expected to be the problems solver for the world.  The more problems we solve the more self interest of other nations induces them to be "free riders".

Since the problems are limitless how then are we to decide how to approach the  ones that are most imporant to our wellfare as a nation and the duty that we have to our self concept and morality?

There are several considerations that must be addressed to achieve some measure of reasonable priority.  These are covered in more detail in another start-up wiki that you can improve but essentailly they are:
  1. Cross impact on other major problems.  How crucial to solving our other problems is this problem?
  2. Cost Benefit considerations.   What are the costs of solving this problem compared to the benefits or disasters that must be considered if we do not solve the problem.
  3. What are the barriers in terms of myths and religion that make the problem difficult to impossible.
  4. How do we balance the expansion of "Rights With Duties" as a citizen?
  5. Other sites for ideas for issues?  Issue SourcesArt's and Letters Digest aldaily.com or Independent.com
